The results of the Engineering Service Examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission in August, 1996, have been declared. Details are available at the Press Information Bureau, CGO Annexe Building, 101, M K Road, Mumbai- 20.

Design course

The Indian Institute of Interior Designers (IIID) has announced a full-time 5 year interior designing programme. The course will be conducted at the Garodia School of Interior Design. The entrance examination will be conducted in July 97, and the minimum qualification for admission is HSC (Science).

Rehab course

The Department of Rehabilitation and National Association for the Blind (NAB) will start a rehabilitation course for the blind on September 4. No formal training is necessary, and the course is free of cost. A stipend will be given to selected trainees every month. The age limit is 18 to 50 years. Self employment

The Maharashtra Centre for Enterpreneurship Development will organise a self employment training programme based on bakery products from July 7 -16 in co-operation with the State Directorate of Industries, Mumbai. The programme will include the demonstration on different types of cakes and information regarding government schemes, entrepreneurial personality aspects, marketing, pricing and costing.
