AIDS awareness
The students of N L Dalmia Institute of Management Studies and Research, Shrishti Sector 1, off Western Express Highway, Mira Road (East) have organised a two-day `Aids awareness programme’ under the community service workshop on November 30 at Mira Road.

Advance booking
The Western Railway (WR) has decided to extend the advance ticket reservation period from 30 days to 60 days. Outstation passengers can now book their ticket from any reservation counter 60 days prior to the journey. A WR statement stated that the new decision will be effective from December 3, 1997. There will be no change in the case of time limit of 360 days for foreign tourists.
Jumbo block
Western Railway has declared a jumbo block on the up and down local (slow track) line from 10.30 am to 15.30 pm on November 30, ’97 between Santacruz and Goregaon. Slow locals will run on fast corridor between the two stations and will not halt at Vile Parle. Vile Parle passengers are allowed to travel by harbour line trains.
