Talk on relevance of Gandhi
The Hindustani Prachar Sabha and Mani Bhavan Gandhi Sangrahalaya have organised a talk on the Relevance of Mahatma Gandhi8217; at the Indian Merchants8217; Chamber on February 1 at 4 pm.
Professor Siddheshwar Prasad, Governor of Tripura will be the main speaker. Dr Ram Manohar Tripathi will also speak on the occasion, which will be presided over by Dr Ishaq Jamkhanwala.
Dr Usha Mehta will give the introductory remark and Dr Sushil Gupta will comment on Astha Purush, written by Prof Siddheshwar Prasad. Bapu8217;s favourite bhajan will also be presented on the occasion.
Exhibition at Royal College
The Science Exhibition organised by Royal College, Mulund, on January 14, 15 and 16 was visited by more than 10,000 people. Around 28 schools and 23 colleges participated with a total of 64 projects on various science topics. Dr P V Pradhan, Registrar, University of Mumbai was the chief guest at the valedictory function. Chandibai College, Ulhasnagar bagged the first prize inthe degree college group, followed by Ratnam College and Royal College as second and third prize winners respectively.
In the school category, St Francis High School, Borivli secured first position and Sanmitra Mandal Vidya Mandir and Esplanade High School stood second and third. In the junior college category, due to the teachers8217; strike, just six entries were received. One prize was announced, for R D National College.
