SCI gets National Training Award
The Shipping Corporation of India has been awarded the prestigious Golden Peacock National Training Award for 1997. The award, instituted by the Institute of Directors, is given for excellence in training. The award was handed to SCIs Chairperson and Managing Director P K Shrivastava by M L Khurana, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs in Delhi on Wednesday.

The communication centre Faxman helped a city-based executive be interviewed by a placement firm in Virginia, USA, 8,000 miles away, due to its videoconferencing facility. Faxman, at Marine Lines, is the first private videoconference facility provider in Mumbai, stated a press release.
