CHENNAI, Jan 5: After the new Maruti 800 and the 1998 Esteem, Maruti Udyog Ltd now plans to relaunch its Omni van. "A revamped Omni will hit the market soon," a highly placed company source told The Indian Express.The new version is likely to cost about Rs 5000-10,000 more. The source, however refused to reveal the changes to be made in the new version. Other company sources, who also confirmed the relaunch, clarified that the timing will depend on the waiting period.The Omni is now available at the end of a waiting period of over eight weeks. "We will not announce the relaunch until we bring down the waiting period," they said. Company sources indicated that the Zen is also being geared up for a relaunch. Meanwhile, the Esteem has topped luxury car sales during December.
