MUMBAI, JULY 27: Two players shared the lead at the end of the third round of the play-off league in the Entrant’s Division chess tournament organised by the Bombay Chess Association at the Zandu Pharmaceutical Canteen yesterday. Aditya Vora of Don Bosco School, Matunga, and Arun Subramaniam of Pendharkar College, Dombivli, scored their third consecutive win, over Mugdha Variyar and Milind Ketkar respectively, to lead with three points.

Vishal Shah, a fifth standard student of St Joseph, Malad, defeated overnight leader Harshvardhan Ambardekar, a third-year student of Pendharkar College. Vishal now shares the second spot with Prasanna Iyer of Bhagubhai Polytechnic, Wesley Falcao of Carmalites, Vasai and Ganesh Pednekar.

In an equal position, Mugdha lost one pawn and immediately made exchanges on F-5 square with wrong pieces leaving her king and bishop on b2 square unguarded.
