VADODARA, Dec 3: M S UNIVERSITY Vice-Chancellor Anil Kane has circulated a performa slip to be filled by the professors and teachers of all the faculties. The teaching staff will be required to fill four such forms and submit it to the head of their respective departments every weekend.The teaching staff will be required to fill in details regarding how they plan to utilise each of the five days of the week, from Monday to Friday.The first slip will have to be submitted to the department head, the second to the faculty dean, the third to the Vice-Chancellor and the fourth will be put up at the respective department's notice board for the benefit of the students.With this slip, now even students will know where to look for their professors, when they are not taking any classes.This decision was taken by Kane, who after a round of various departments of the university found that the teaching staff did not sign the registers regularly.Meanwhile, the decision has drawn mixed reactions from university professors. While the senior professors point out that the university should not be treated like the corporate sector, temporary lecturers welcome the decision saying there was a long-felt need for it.
