MUMBAI, FEB 9: Leg-spinner Anil Kumble has earned himself a state-of-the-art computer for taking 10 wickets in the second innings against Pakistan in the second and last Test of the short India-Pakistan series at the Ferozeshah Kotla in Delhi last Sunday.

Kumble is to be given the Zenith IPC, it was announced by the computer firm today.

Kumble, a computer engineer who has launched an interactive multimedia CD-Rom on cricket, joined England’s Jim Laker in the record books as the only two men to have claimed 10 wickets in a Test innings.

NEW DELHI: Anil Kumble and Sachin Tendulkar have been offered free hospitality by India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) for their contribution to Indian cricket.

The two crickets were offered free stay for two persons in any of the ITDC hotels for any duration, upto December 1999, a release said today.

Kumble and Tendulkar were felicitated by home Minister LK Advani during a function at the Ashoka Hotel last night where the masterchefs baked a special cake — in the shape of a cricket pitch for the bowling hero, which he cut inside a mini stadium equipped with practice net and cricketing gear.
