CHANDIGARH, May 27: Mohali were sitting pretty having scored 188 for 6 after dismissing Bathinda for 74 runs on the opening day of their two-day Punjab Minor Inter-District Cricket Tournament at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium here today.Mohali opener Sukhwinder Singh Tinku contributed a brilliant knock of 57 off 72 deliveries. During his stay at the crease for 85 minutes, Tinku reached the fence 11 times.He along with the other opener Ravi (18) put on 73 runs for the first wicket stand before Ravi was caught by Sunil of the bowling of Ranjeet (2 for 30). Kamal Walia made a breezy 38 with four fours and two sixes. Captain Krishan Mohan and Deepak were at the crease with 30 and 12 runs respectively.Earlier, Bathinda had a bad start as they lost opener Manjit (5) with scoreboard reading 9. Their wickets continued to fall at regular intervals. Ravi topscored for Bathinda with 23 runs.
