PUNE, March 25: A teenaged boy from Shivajinagar gaonthan was killed on the spot when a motorcycle dashed against his cycle tossing him under the wheels of a PMT bus on Jungali Maharaj Road this afternoon.

Fifteen-year-old Anish Anil Durge, an eighth standard student, was going to meet some friends when the accident took place, around 3 p.m.

Police said Anish had left his house along with a friend earlier in the afternoon. He spent some time at his friend’s house near Hotel Span Executive before proceeding to meet a class mate. Anish, who cycled down to the Surbhi Hotel chowk, was taking a right turn to join the traffic on the Jungali Maharaj road when a motorcycle heading towards Balgandharva Rang Mandir dashed against his cycle.

Anish was tossed away and came under the wheels of a PMT bus going towards S G Barve Chowk. Profusely bleeding, Anish was shifted to the Sassoon hospital by some passers by. He was proclaimed dead on arrival at the hospital.
