Continuing its tirade against migrants from UP and Bihar, Raj Thackeray-led MNS on Saturday demanded that Sonia Gandhi should ensure the return of senior Dalit leader and Bihar Governor R S Gavai to Maharashtra and in the bargain urged Bihar MLAs to take back the 25 lakh migrants from the state residing in Mumbai.

On Friday, MLAs from Bihar indulged in unruly behaviour and sloganeering demanding that Gavai should go back to Maharashtra.

MNS spokesperson and general secretary Shishir Shinde said in a press statement that the unruly scenes and slogans were not just an insult to the Governor but also to the Dalits in the country. He said Maharashtra would be keen to know the steps NHRC would take in the backdrop of the incidents against Gavai, a Dalit leader.
