NEW DELHI, SEPT 5: The Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) president Subhash Chopra today issued show-cause notices to Jagdish Anand, a party MLA, and Ashok Jain, a councillor from Chandni Chowk, asking why action should not be taken against them for alleged anti-party activities during the elections.The action was taken by DPCC on the basis of reports submitted by the party observers. The two Congress leaders have been asked to give their explanation within 15 days.He also accused the Delhi police of colluding with the Bharatiya Janata Party and harassing Congress workers at several places during polling. Chopra said at a post-polling press conference that at a number of places, police were ``found colluding'' with the BJP workers by ignoring irregularities by the BJP.Chopra claimed that the police had detained Congress workers at Yamuna Pushta and other places without reason. He said he would approach the Election Commission on the issue. He also said there were 20 such complaints from allover the city. Saying that the poll result is almost a verdict on the present Congress Government in Delhi, he clarified, ``I mean to say that the local issues are as important as the national issues.''On the low voter turn-out in Delhi, he said, ``People are tired of frequent polls,'' but elobroated that the voting in slums was good.
