After interrogating bookie Shobhan Mehta for 24 hours, the Gujarat Police on Saturday claimed that he ran a cricket betting racket in Gujarat and Maharashtra and had links with other bookies in other cricket-playing countries. Mehta, said Addl CP (Crime Branch) D G Vanjara, admitted to having links with several international bookies.
