BANGALORE, August 7: Students admitted to medical colleges in Karnataka by flouting Indian Medical Council (IMC) guidelines regarding number of seats, face de-recognition of their degrees. The court had vested with the Union government and the IMC the authority to regulate admission capacities in colleges since 1992. IMC Assistant Secretary A S Rahi said the Council would have to consult the Central Government before finalising the norms for derecognising the degrees.
