FARIDKOT, July 21: The four-day old strike by the teaching staff of the Guru Gobindgarh Medical College and Hospital at Faridkot was withdrawn due to the intervention of Deputy Commissioner Gurinder Singh Grewal today. All the teaching staff and PCMS doctors in the medical college and hospital also resumed their duties and complete normalcy was resorted.

The DC last night convened a meeting of the striking teachers, SSP and DSP Vigilance including five doctors and held discussions on the registration of corruption cases against Dr Sarbjit Singh of forensic medicine and of misbehaviour and manhandling.
