In her first Ministry expansion, Madhya Pradesh CM Uma Bharti today inducted 19 new ministers — including six with Cabinet rank — and dropped two others.Minister of State for School Education and Water Resources Anup Mishra (Independent charge) was elevated to Cabinet rank while three of the 13 new ministers were given independent charge.With this, the strength of Uma Bharti Ministry has gone up to 35, including the Chief Minister herself. Bharti said the portfolios of the Ministers would be announced soon. The number of ministers after today’s reshuffle just about touches the ceiling laid by the 91st Constitutional Amendment in force from July 7 restricting size of the Ministry to 15 per cent of the total strength of the Assembly. — (PTI)
