MPs delaying flights or getting delayed at airports have been in the news for the past few days. While it all started with Renuka Chowdhury drawing flak from co-passengers for allegedly delaying the departure of a flight, Rajya Sabha MP Abdul Wahab was ordered off an aircraft for causing the delay of a Kozikhode-Dubai flight and the issue had pilots up in arms against the MP. Now here is another aspect of the delay story. Union Minister for Commerce Kamal Nath was late for a book launch in the capital and blamed it on airport delays. But he hit the wrong note when he grandly told the gathering that it was not only 8220;them8221; who faced airport delays but even people like 8220;him8221;. No wonder the audience murmured disapprovingly.
