With a majority of buildings having inadequate parking or no parking, the Town planning wing has been asked to produce the building plans of the complexes on the road.

The complaint also states violation of building bylaws while constructing the high-rises with most of them having inadequate fire-fighting equipment, no entry or exit route and many other anomalies.

The wing has given the building plans to MC Commissioner G S Ghuman on Saturday and the CM has asked for a time-bound action against the violators.

If action is taken against the building owners on the Mall Road, many other markets in the city will also come in the line of fire. These include Ghumar Mandi, Ferozepur Road buildings,

Model Town market, Satpaul Mittal Roadamong others.
