Two days after the BSP announced the launch of its election campaign in Jaipur, the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) followed suit on Tuesday with a rally by party chief Ram Vilas Paswan in Bharatpur.Hitting out at BSP chief Mayawati, Paswan said her prime ministerial ambitions were nothing but daydreams. “How can one trust someone who is an opportunist? The UP Chief Minister is only out to weaken the secular forces by trying to portray a fictional secular face for her party,” he alleged, adding that BSP was no more the party of Dalits that it used to be.“The Brahmins have taken over and this has happened only because of the opportunist approach of the BSP leadership. The social engineering that they are talking about has been promoted by parties like LJP and Congress for years now,” he stated.Though not specifically targeting the Vasundhara Raje Government, Paswan also trained guns on the BJP.
