Later, he found out that the teacher was mentally unsound, a handicap that has escaped the authorities at the school where he has served since August 23, 1995. The Deputy Speaker has ordered the drawing teacher’s medical examination. Bir also recommended transfer of the Mathematics teacher after he saw the results in the matriculation exam. ‘‘The teacher has admitted that he is an alcoholic and came to school in a drunken state,’’ Bir wrote in his recommendation. Bir said he was shocked that three teachers, including one of English, failed to write the word ‘tuition’ correctly. What’s more, the school library didn’t have a dictionary. Earlier, he visited Government High School in Gobindgarh village and a Government elementary school at Saneta village. At the former, he recommended immediate transfer of school headmistress, Mathematics teacher and English teacher. He said all them were unable to spell the word ‘tuition’ correctly.
