Central Industrial Security Force CISF personnel nabbed a man from the prohibited runway area of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport at midnight on Saturday. The security men on patrol duty noticed a stranger strolling near the runway, which created suspicion in their mind.

CISF personnel frisked the man but nothing objectionable was found on his person. He was later handed over to the police for interrogation. Subsequently, Sardarnagar police found that his name was Dilip Rambhhai and he lived at Vijay Char Rasta. Dilip was presented before the court on Sunday morning and was granted bail, the police said.

Dilip, presumed to be hailing from Bihar, gave different replies to questions put to him. At one point, he said his name was Chhotu but later said it was Dilip. He is learnt to have entered the airport complex by jumping over the security wall; but he could not explain his presence in the high security area where civilian entry is prohibited.
