In a big blow to Pakistan ahead of their Asia Cup clash against India on Wednesday, its captain Shoaib Malik has been ruled out of the super-four stage match after he collapsed during a fitness test in Karachi.
Malik was just six minutes into the test at National stadium before collapsing from exhaustion.
Malik has been suffering from dehydration and weakness for the last three days. Opener Nasir Jamshed is expected to play in his place.
Pakistan has also included Abdul Rauf and Saeed Ajmal for today’s tie in place of Wahab Riaz and Mansoor Amjad.
