Mahesh Bhatt accuses police of harassing model

Noted film producer and director Mahesh Bhatt on Thursday accused police of harassing a South African model though she has valid papers. ‘‘The model, Ilene Hamann, here to act in a film Rog produced by my daughter Pooja Bhatt, was called to the immigration office where she was questioned for three hours,’’ Bhatt said. Immigration chief Deban Bharti denied the charge and said the model was called only for inquiry about her visa papers.
