MUMBAI, JAN 15: Maharashtra Government employees have announced demonstrations in front of Mantralaya on January 22, to stress various pending demands like work for five days a week and time-bound promotions.
General Secretary of Mantralaya Karmachari Sanghatana, Ramdas Padwal, today said that the Government was delaying taking decisions on various valid demands of the Government employees, on purpose. He added that due to no reason, demands pertaining to work for five days a week, number of optional leaves, cash payment of arrears of 14 months according to the Fifth Pay Commission, promotions to clerks according to the seniority list (being ignored for last 10 years) etc, were not being considered by the Government.
“The employees would voice their protest on January 22 by staging demonstrations in front of Mantralaya. We expect Chief Minister Manohar Joshi and Deputy Chief Minister Gopinath Munde to sanction our demands with immediate effect. If no action is taken, we will have to intensify ouragitation,” Padwal said.
