Dr Vinod Chandiramani, Head of General Surgery and part of the team of doctors attending to Mahajan, said: ‘‘It’s bad and may

Mahajan, who has been battling for life for the past 11 days in the P D Hinduja Hospital after his brother Pravin shot at him on April 22, is still on mechanical ventilation, ionotropes and dialysis.

Meanwhile, vocalist Pandit Jasraj today called on Mahajan at Hinduja Hospital and sang a couplet from Hanuman Lila to inspire him. After enquiring about Mahajan’s condition, Jasraj told reporters that he had recited a couplet from Hanuman Lila before the BJP leader.

The couplet is based on the theme of Ramayana which says that Hanuman had brought Sanjeevani herbs to save Laxmana’s life when the latter was injured during a battle between Rama and Ravana. ‘‘I believe that Mahajan heard it and I hope it would inspire him,’’ Jasraj said.
