Journalism of Courage
This incident occurred when I had gone with my uncle and aunty to a fair. I was in the second standard at that time.
On a big ground a huge mandap was erected and different shops were buzzing with people. My aunty was purchasing some cutlery and I stood watching a puppet show.
After a while, I looked around to find myself alone. I searched for my uncle and aunty desperately, but in vain. I was lost in the crowd.
Seeing my pale face full of fear, a man picked me up and tried to comfort me. Announcements were made on the mike numerous times for my uncle and aunty. I was made to sit in the cabin of the Main Checking Office. A man offered me a soft drink, but I refused. At that moment I wanted only my uncle and aunty.
After about 20 minutes which seemed to me like a year, I saw my worried uncle and aunty. I rushed towards them and hugged them.
This terrible incident shall forever remain etched in my heart.
