A leading US Congressman has said that the Line of Control (LoC) between India and Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir should be made a permanent border to settle the Kashmir issue.

‘‘I believe, the reasonable solution to the Kashmir issue is to make the Line of Control, the border between India and Pakistan,’’ Congressman Joe Wilson, said in a speech to the Heritage Foundation. He said, however, the United States should not be drawn into the historical arguments over Kashmir. —(PTI)
