LIC XI batsmen raced to the target in only 7.4 overs, losing two wickets in the process. Ravi Kumar remained unbeaten with 18 while Akash Salhotra hit the ball around, getting 31.

Jagjit Saini’s fine all round performance (46 and 5 for 21) helped Godrej and Boyce XI beat Gymkhana XI by 27 runs in the Aadhunik Cup cricket tournament here at the DAV College ground today.

Apart from Jagjit, Vaneet Chawla (32) and Vikramm Khajuria (36) were the other contributors for Godrej XI. For Gymkhana XI, Pardeep’s good show (3 for 28 and 43) went in vain.

PGI XI recorded a four-wicket win over CNS XI in another match. Rajiv Dutta (39 n.o.) helped his side achieve the 136-run victory target set by CNS XI.
