Liberty in list of top 5 shoe producers in world

Liberty Shoes now figures in the list of the world’s top five shoe manufactures, having a turnover of more than Rs 350 crore, a top company official said on Friday. Adarsh Gupta, Executive Director, Liberty Shoes , told reporters here that the company was emerging as a multinational, with over 150 distributors and 350 exclusive distributors all over the world.

The company’s new plant at Uttaranchal had helped them diversify its productline, he said, adding that Liberty would open ‘super premium’ showrooms at Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Dhaka, Colombo, Karachi and Dubai by the year 2006.

Liberty proposed to open 18 showrooms all over the country, including one each at major cities like Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Mumbai.
