Umpire Darrell Hair said in a statement today that he had written the letter during a “difficult time” and was now looking forward to officiating in future matches. “This correspondence (to the ICC) was composed at a very difficult time and was revoked by myself two days later, after a period of serious consultation,” Hair said.
