‘‘People of the country will all be wishing that (Union Petroleum Minister) Mani Shankar Aiyar, who has now gone abroad, never comes back,’’ TN Transport Minister R. Viswanthan said in the Assembly on Tuesday. He said that there had been reports in the media about another impending hike in the prices of petroleum products. ‘‘I learn that the Union Cabinet was due to meet to take a decision on it. But with Aiyar abroad, the Cabinet meeting has been postponed and there are reports that the prices would be raised only after he returns,’’ he said while replying to the discussion on demand for grants for the department.
