Jabalpur, Aug 31: At least 50,000 advocates of high court, Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), State Administrative Tribunal (SAT) and various other tax and labour courts in Madhya Pradesh today struck work to protest formation of a high court in newly carved out state of Chhattisgarh.

President of the MP Bar Association, Umakant Sharma, told PTI here that the entire legal fraternity was united over the issue as they felt that the common high court be continued for both the states.

Sharma said a memorandum would be presented to the President, the Prime Minister, Chief Justice, Governor and Chief Minister of the state, `expressing the feeling of the lawyers’.
