Lawyer to plead for sex racket accused

Defying the ban imposed by the Kashmir High Court Bar Association, a Kashmiri lawyer has decided to plead the cases of the four of the accused in J-K sex abuse scam. Molvi Ajaz, a senior Kashmiri lawyer, on Saturday took up the cases of former minister Ghulam Ahmad Mir, Deputy Superintendent of Police Ashraf Mir, Mehraj Din and Masood Ahmad, both alleged pimps. “I am willingly taking up their cases. I think it is a lawyer’s ethical duty to provide legal help to anybody without a bias,” Ajaz said after he came out of the court of the District and Session’s judge, Srinagar where pleaded for the bail to his clients.
