ANAND, April 21: Two law students of Sardar Patel University (SPU) have moved the civil court here for allegedly being treated wrongly by a senior supervisor during university examination.

Pallavi Bhatt and Jignasaben Purohit, were allegedly caught copying by senior a supervisor during first LLB Paper V (College Law subject) at Anand Law College. The supervisor took away their answer papers, asked them to write in another answer paper. The duo refused and left the examination hall.

Both petitioned the Anand district civil judge (senior division) court for injunction and a directive to SPU to give the exam again. The court, however, granted the second request and issued a notice to SPU.

The court directed that as the examination committee is a quasi-judicial body, unless a decision was taken by the committee, the court cannot interfere in the matter.
