Supreme Court today agreed to hear Sanjay Dutt's plea seeking more time to surrender to undergo remaining jail term in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case. The case is likely to come up tomorrow at 10: 30 am (local time). According to reports,Sanjay Dutt has sought six months time to surrender so that he can wrap up the movies in hand. In keeping with the order Sanjay Dutt has to give himself up before the designated TADA court by April 18. Sanjay Dutt was held guilty for possession of arms, given to him by gangster Abu Salem, and their subsequent destruction. Some of the weapons from this cache were kept at Kazi's suburban Bandra house for a few days. Sanjay Dutt was charged under TADA Act for aiding and abetting a terrorist act and the Arms Act but Dutt was held guilty only under the Arms Act. TADA court had on Monday rejected Sanjay Dutt's request to surrender directly before the jail authorities in connection with the 1993 Mumbai blasts case.
