Judge: Offered Rs 100 crore to bail out Janardhana Reddy

An Andhra Pradesh judge,arrested in the cash-for-bail scam,has said he was offered a whopping Rs 100 crore by relatives of former Karnataka minister and mining baron Gali Janardhana Reddy to secure bail for him.

K Lakshmi Narasimha Rao,Chief Judge of Small Causes Court,reportedly told his interrogators that Dasaradharami Reddy,a relative of Janardhana,made the offer to him.

The police claimed Rao voluntarily spoke about the offer. “Dasaradharami had asked to search for a channel to influence the CBI judge for Reddy’s release on bail and for which Dasaradharami was ready to pay Rs 100 crore,” they said.
