With the Congress targeting him over charges of illegal snooping,BJPs prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Sunday alleged that conspiracies were being hatched against him by the ruling party as it was unable to digest the saffron wave and his growing popularity. Addressing his first rally in Karnataka after being made the BJPs prime ministerial candidate,he said,The attacks on Narendra Modi are intensifying. You can see how intense it has become. All kinds of language are being used,all kinds of tactics are being used. No effort is being spared to disrupt our campaign. Terming the turnout of about three lakh people as a saffron wave,Modi said,They are unable to digest this. dont know what kind of language is being used and the kind of conspiracies being hatched. They are trying various ways and means to rattle the BJP. Making a strong pitch for the youths vote,Modi credited the BJP under former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee for the growth of Information Technology as well as Indias moon and Mars programmes. He also blamed the UPA government for the decline in software exports. The Congress has no faith in the youth. It it has no faith in science or democracy. It is dependent on vote bank politics for its success, said Modi,as he urged the youth to vote for the BJP with the promise of moving India from confusion to clarity,corruption to good governance,stagnancy to buoyancy,poison to nectar. Stating that the Congress is not connected to the people,he said,They live in ivory towers. They are indoor people,we are outdoor people.He said,For the UPA,youth is only a voter,for us youth is power.
