MALAPPURAM, JAN 13: Nine Sri Lankan Tamils with suspected terrorist leanings and one person from Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu have been arrested during the last two days from Manjeri and Kozhikode Airport, police said.While seven of them were nabbed from hotel rooms in Manjeri, three were arrested from the Kozhikode Airport while attempting to proceed to Canada via Gulf, police said. All of them were produced before a court, which remanded them to judicial custody. As two of the arrested were minors the court remanded them to juvenile homes, police said.Foreign currency, citizenship cards and health cards were seized from them. Police said those arrested had links with a racket involved in smuggling youths to England and Canada via Gulf, for alleged training in terrorist activities. Addresses and telephone numbers of some youths, who had been recruited for such training were seized from them, they said.
