CHIKMAGALURE, July 15: Landslides, caused by heavy rainfall, has brought traffic on the Mangalore-Shimoga road to a halt since July 10. The rains have damaged telephone and electricity lines at several places, and reports of bridge collapses have come in. Repair work is in progress. Koppa recorded the maximum rainfall of 361 mm on Thursday last, while Kudremukh received 321 mm.
