PATNA, DEC 27: Free from his domestic responsibilities, RJD president Laloo Prasad Yadav is back in the political arena to take on his political adversaries. All political activities had been kept in abeyance for a fortnight before his daughter Misa Bharati's marriage. On Thursday Laloo Prasad exhorted his party cadre to take on the NDA bull particularly the BJP by its horns. He reiterated his commitment to fight communal forces and work for the unity of secular forces. Laloo Prasad has launched a reorganisation programme to mobilise mass support for his party which had got somewhat dissipated during the Lok Sabha elections. However, the rebuilding process is proving to be a tough task for Laloo with his programmes failing to enthuse his cadre. This week the RJD organised three conferences in Darbhanga, Tirhut and Siwan besides one in Patna. All these conferences failed to enthuse the party rank and file. Insiders revealed that the conferences were marred by group rivalries and acrimony amongst seniorleaders. With Laloo in a mood to drop two-thirds of the sitting legislators and bring in new faces in their place, there is nervousness in the party. Senior leaders are using these conferences to come closer to Laloo and show their loyalty.
