Al-Sabah arrived on Wednesday on a four-day visit. Labour issues are set to dominate the talks between the two countries, as indicated by Minister of State for External Affairs E Ahamed. Some

five lakh Indians work in Kuwait. ‘‘Kuwait is an important destination for the Indian labour force, both skilled and unskilled…Considering the good ties between India and Kuwait, the visit will be fruitful in fostering our relationship with Kuwait further,’’ Ahamed said. The discussions on the labour front will include the problems faced by Indians in Kuwait, social security issues and labour laws, sources in the MEA said. Problems faced by Indian domestic helps will also be highlighted.
