“We have learnt lessons from the past and the damage sufferred on account of changing Chief Ministers thrice. The party would not commit that mistake again”, Azad who is also in charge of Karnataka affairs told a press conference here, in the presence of the Chief Minister.

He said the government and the party would work in tandem to honour all the poll promises.

Azad said the Congress high command was happy with the performance of the two-month old Krishna ministry in Karnataka.

Azad warned partymen that it would not tolerate any indiscipline.

He said the Congress was launching its `sankalp yatra’ from December 28, coinciding with its foundation day 114 years ago and conclude the yatra on January 30 — the martyrdom of Mahatma Gandhi.

Replying to a query on whether Krishna would continue as the state unit PCC president, he said he would continue till the organisational elections were over.

The state unit at its executive held for the first time after the party romped back to power in the state passed resolutions thanking AICC president Sonia Gandhi for steering the party to power in the state and for contesting from the Bellary Lok Sabha constituency.
