SOLAPUR, Sept 8: Bharat Gupta, an VIII standard student who was kidnapped by some unknown persons in a Maruti car from Home maidan here last Wednesday, returned home early on Tuesday.

A jubilant Jaykumar Gupta told The Indian Express that he heard a knock on their front door around 4 a.m. and opened it to find his missing son.

Bharat was still in a state of shock and is not forthcoming about what has happened to him, Jaykumar said. “Since he has come home Bharat is with his mother,” he said.

From whatever he could gather from Bharat, he was taken by a Maruti car by some persons and his eyes were tied with a black cloth. A few persons dropped him at the Samachar chowk early today from where he walked home, Gupta said.
