CHANDIGARH, FEB 4: Sofyan Kaufin of Armenia and Peng Shuai of China lifted the boys’ and girls’ titles, respectively, in the ITF junior tennis tournament on Friday.

Unseeded Shuai shocked top seed Radhika Tulpule, the only Indian in the finals, 6-1 4-6 6-2 while Kaufin brushed aside Raian Luchici of Romania 6-2 6-3.

Radhika and Omar Beheroozian of the United Arab Emirates have been seeded No 1 in the ITF Junior World Ranking tennis championship to be held in Calcutta from February 7-12 at the hard courts of Dakshin Kalikata Sangsad.

Other seeded boys include P Ravikrishna (No 2), Sunil Kumar (3), Harutyun Sofyan of Slovenia (4), Amanjot Singh (5), Parantap Chaturvedi (6), C S Mohanty (7) and Vinod Sewa (8). Peng Shuai (2) of China, Kalasarieva Aibika (3) of Kyrghisthan, Shupak Anna of Uzbekistan (4), Gita Manohar (5) and Nicola Reddy (6), Xie Yau-Ze of China (7) and Nandita Chandrasekhar (8) are seeded among girls.
