In a no-holds-barred personal attack, senior Congress leader K. Karunakaran said Chief Minister A.K. Antony has no morals in politics, personal life and government and, therefore, has no right to teach him political ethics.Karunakaran told mediapersons that Antony had no right or experience to advise him or the ‘I’ group about political morality. ‘‘If I am enacting ‘an ugly political drama’, people of the state have approved and encouraged it for the last 72 to 73 years,’’ he said.‘‘It is Antony who has changed positions in the past without any compunction. He attacked minority communities a few days ago. Now he acts as their friend,’’ he said.‘‘Antony said it was high time that the ongoing political drama in Ernakulam should end. But people of Kerala will have peace only if the ongoing drama by Antony ends,’’ Karunakaran added.‘‘Antony also says no one who has Congress blood running in his veins will vote on CPM symbol. I have not asked anyone to vote for CPM. But people have not forgotten the alliance between Antony and CPM in the past,’’ he added. Karunakaran said: ‘‘After disowning NSS and Mannathu Padmanabhan, he went to NSS to appease them.’’ ‘‘I started my political career in Ernakulam even before Antony was born. Thrissur and Ernakulam are places close to me. Even now Congress has an upper hand in Ernakulam and Thrissur, unlike Antony’s Alappuzha,’’ Karunakaran said.
