BANGALORE, January 4: The Karnataka government employees, who are on an indefinite strike since Friday, agreed to call off the agitation tomorrow following the government's decision to pay 20 per cent of the basic pay as interim relief.Announcing this to newsmen here today in the presence of Chief Minister J H Patel, Karnataka Government Employees Association president K Sippegowda said an emergent executive meeting of the office bearers would be held tomorrow morning to formally take a decision.The Chief Minister, after discussing with the association representatives, announced his government's decision to give 20 per cent basic pay as interim relief with effect from December 1, 1997.
