
PUNE, March 30: Kapil Nirmal scored an unbeaten 101 to steer Vishal Cricket Club to a seven wicket win over Warje XI, in the PDCA organised Late Sadu Shinde limited overs cricket league.
Vishal Club’s win was thus their fourth successive win in the tournament.
Warje XI batting first posted a challenging 248. Ashok Pardeshi led the batting onslaught, scoring 102. Satish Pednekar, with 36 runs, played a supporting role.
Bowlers Mohammed Shaikh and Shahaji Kharade shared five wickets between themselves.
In reply, Vishal Club overhauled the total with seven wickets in hand. Kapil Nirmal carried his bat throughout the innings to make the issue safe for his team. Aiding him at the other end was Prashant R who added 71 valuable runs in the teams convincing victory.
