.

Two days ahead of crucial meeting of Rashtriya Kranti Party, its president Kalyan Singh on Friday attacked the Mulayam Singh Yadav-led coalition saying he had nurtured it even after suffering humiliation and even after this if the coalition breaks, others would be responsible for it.

‘‘Garal ka ghoot pee kar humne gatbandhan dharma ka palan kiya hai (we have abided by the coalition dharma even by drinking poison),’’ Singh said without naming Mulayam. He said no step of ‘‘ours’’ went against the coalition dharma and even if it disintegrates others were to be blamed. ‘‘Taali ek haath se nahi bajti (it takes two to move ahead),’’ he said, adding that the political scenario in the state was changing fast.

Asked about the Congress’ efforts to form a secular alliance to defeat BJP-led NDA, he said the terms ‘‘secularism’’ and ‘‘Communalism’’ bear different meanings at different times. He said that the Jan 4 meeting of RKP would discuss its strategy for coming Lok Sabha elections. —(PTI)
