Several witnesses and accused in the ‘cash at judge’s door’ scandal were examined on Monday by a three-judge committee constituted by CJI K G Balakrishnan. The committee comprises Allahabad HC Chief Justice Hemant Laxman Gokhale, J-K HC Chief Justice K S Radhakrishnan and Delhi High Court Justice Madan B Lokur. Justice Nirmaljit Kaur, whose examination lasted nearly two hours, recorded her statement first. Later, the statements of Sanjeev Bansal and wife were recorded by the committee.
