CHENNAI, MAY 22: The final verdict in the Rs 10.16 crore ‘Colour TV Scam’ case against former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalitha and nine others will be pronounced by a Special Court here on May 30.

Special Judge-II V Radhakrishnan fixed the date for the judgement after the prosecution submitted written arguments in reply to the final arguments advanced by the defence counsel.

The case involves alleged financial irregularities and illegal gratification in the purchase of 45,000 colour television sets by the AIADMK regime headed by Jayalalitha in December 1995 for distribution to village panchayats and rural community halls all over the State.
